There are so many things to choose from to get a taste of the true Turkish experience.
Enjoy a game of backgammon, or 'tavla', whilst drinking a cup of çay, pronounced "chay" and relax with your friendly Turkish hosts. Treat yourself to a visit to the local hamamm, or Turkish bath, and try a mud bath and massage. A trip to the local village market on a Sunday morning will give you a chance to practice your haggling! For the men, a visit to the local barber is definitely something not to be missed. You are unlikely to forget the very close shave with a cut-throat razor!
